Oz’s House of the Evil Dead

That’s a Galileo quote and it’s pretty apt considering the nature of this entry. Yup it’s about the recent CSM meeting with CCP regarding the POS Exploit which was held on Sunday night. If you came here thinking I’d be naming names, you can stop reading now, I’m not. This is going to be a long post, so if you make it through, please let me know what your thoughts are.

Here’s a quick summary of the situation for anyone that hasn’t been following the latest Eve: Online drama:
a week or so ago someone posted a thread on the Scrapheap forums claiming to be a player who was banned for an exploit. He went on to detail that he had been creating moon materials out of thin air for 4 years and CCP had finally caught up with him. A day or so later, CCP posted an announcement on their website stating they had plugged an exploit regarding POS. The forums then proceeded to go into meltdown with people demanding to know what was going on. CCP promptly decided to give out a little bit of information which included the statement that they had banned 70 accounts from 2 alliances. Forums continued to heat up like a reactor in Chernobyl. CCP contacted the CSM and organised an emergency meeting to discuss the issues in an attempt to cool things down. This is the part where my story begins…
