This was something both CSM2 & 3 pushed for and got fairly negative responses about. Seems like people at CCP listened though and decided it was a good idea anyway.

I’ll chalk this one up as a CSM win.

How long have you been playing?

I started in eve in Beta 6 and when the beta finished I was put into forced hiatus from the game for 2 weeks while I waited for the game to arrive from the UK. So pretty much from the start.

What drew you EVE in the first place?

I stumbled across the CCP/Eve website while I was searching for mods for Space Empires IV. Intrigued by what looked like an online version of that game, I signed up to the beta and eventually got accepted. I downloaded the client, loaded it up and then spent the next week locked in front of my PC only leaving when there was a down time or a random crash. Eve was like nothing I had ever seen. I still get that sense of awe now and then.

Well, since CCP has now opened up CSM to unlimited terms, I’ve nominated myself again. Some other names in the ppol this time include Mynxee and Roc Wieler – should be a fun campaign.

So, Dierdra Vaal (the CSM 3.0 chairman) has built a nifty little web app to help people figure out who to vote for. I’d already decided who I was going to get my vote but thought I would try it out anyway and see what came up. Interestingly 2 of the 3 people I thought I should vote for ended up in my top 5, the third came up #8 on the list. The person I did vote for ended up #1, so it seems I was pretty much correct in my original opinion.
